We received an email from the client with this project who had seen our

advert in a local magazine. We received the initial plans and arranged a site meeting to discuss the project in more detail. With this particular job we ended up revising the quote a couple of times to suit the client specification. We feel it’s important to have the flexibility to alter a quote before accepting it. We then booked in a start date for the project that was convenient for everyone.

The extension itself wasn’t overly large and only extended 1.2m out from the house, but as a whole, the downstairs alterations meant this was a big project and would completely transform the ground floor of this property. We installed a goal post steel design to support the back wall of the property and another steel supporting an internal wall. Once the walls were removed it created the open plan space that would eventually become the kitchen and dining room.

As you can see from the photos, the main feature of this build was it’s 7m bi-folding doors opening out onto the patio. The tiles matched the patio slabs and created an unbelievable space once the doors where open. We also converted the garage into a large, practical utility room which had a special feature of a dog shower!

We project managed the entirety of this build from initial meeting and groundworks, through to decorating and final carpentry finishes.
