Project Overview
An extension to the rear of the property to host a new kitchen and downstairs bathroom. We converted their old kitchen into a study room with a variety of cupboards and shelves for storage. The extension boasted a vaulted ceiling with 4 Velux windows to let in light and ventilation during the summer. The timber beams were a requirement by building control to tie in the roof but turned out to be a great feature to the room, using planned timber and plugs to cover screw holes, once stained, they really made an amazing impact to the room. The new kitchen was a great living space for the family with french doors leading into the garden.
Job started in late October 2016. After an initial meeting to discuss the project, we arranged an architect to draw plans and submit them to building control.
Job lasted for 7 weeks in total with the kitchen fit. We also laid a new Amtico flooring to the whole of the downstairs which matched into the new kitchen. LJ Carpentry & Building Ltd project managed the complete build from initial meeting, right through to task completion.
