Project Overview
Paul Cashin Architects contacted us about this project and we immediately responded with a strong interest in the build, a timber extension is a carpenters dream!
The client, PCA and our team had multiple meetings prior to starting this project to discuss the different elements of the build that were important. These meetings created a great working relationship between all parties.
A big part of this project was in the ground, we had a raft foundation to lay with steel cages and steel mesh. Once the foundations were in place, the rest of the build was very straight forward, the timber walls and roof flew up and very soon we had a structure which was water tight.
Internal features included a high vaulted ceiling which really made the most of the space available, the log fire in the centre of the room made it very comfortable and cosy in the winter, even with the high ceilings. The room boasted two folding double doors and a large window panel that let in lots of light and also added another feature to the room. The design of the room was perfect and the overall feel of the extension exceeded everybody’s expectations.
